About my training, qualifications and personal
I am a fully qualified and experienced Counsellor/Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor. I studied at the
Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute in Nottingham and qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Counselling
and Psychotherapy. The course and training are accredited by the British Association for Counselling and
Psychotherapy (BACP) and the degree was awarded through the Coventry University. I also hold a Post
Graduate Diploma in Clinical Supervision.
Current work
I am currently working in private practice as a Therapist and Supervisor. I see clients with issues ranging
anywhere from depression to childhood sexual abuse. Other experience has included work as a Senior
Counsellor/Assessor and Clinical Supervsior for NCS (Nottingham Counselling Service). I have also
Volunteered at ISAS (Incest and Sexual Abuse Survivors) based in Newark, Nottingham. This work was of
course dealing primarily with sexual abuse in childhood although clients do want to work on themselves
as a whole so the work is varied.
I continue to provide Counselling for sexual abuse survivors and partners of abuse survivors privately. In
addition to this I aim to create male groups and groups for partners in the near future.
